Stay With Me 02:43
Is it just me? She couldn’t be anyone The ways that I feel The ways that I’ve come undone I’d built up my walls She’s breaking them piece-by-piece Whenever she calls Every trouble seems to cease Stay with me… Every last breath Seems to be deeper than before Nothing that’s left Convinces me that there is more Worlds without walls Eyes without politics Where every shared word Treats us without any tricks Stay with me… Truth can’t lie down Now that we’ve found Love that speaks out Silent in sound We speak in three’s Please stay with me.

Just one look outside Steals your mind away As everything you know Turns to gray How did it come to this? Which actions led you wrong? On and on… The brevity of life Feels so long Don’t look down The past won’t rest But tomorrow comes around Blame and alternatives May lead you astray Don’t stall on what you Did and didn’t say something good Because pain is understood You could be like them Settled mediocrity Nothing you can dream Comes for free Is she loving him? Is he hurting you Through and through…The strength to walk away Rests with you Don’t look down The past won’t rest But tomorrow comes around Blame and alternatives May lead you astray Don’t stall on what you Did and didn’t say something good Because pain is understood

Wish I Knew 03:34
You pick me up You put me down You play with me When there’s no one around You waste my time Until I’m spent Now I can’t tell Where all of these years went Take some time Think things through God I try to see past you Where I stand I wish I knew I couldn’t tell Where I should end Who were my loves My enemies, my friends I’m hiding out Inside each day The shadows can’t Chase your face away Take some time Think things through God I try to see past you Where I stand I wish I knew I know I should I wish I could Take some time Think things through God I try to see past you Where I stand I wish I knew

Missed You 04:48
Don’t know much about Things that I know about Don’t quite know if they’re true Don’t know much about All that I know about you Can’t tell much about Things that I thought I felt Circumstances we lose (we forget what we do) But I know that the Things that I felt about you Were true I missed you Every sweet thing that you do I missed you If you only knew I was wrong about Everything just about Yet I still learned a lot If I’m wrong about that Then I hope I can love What I’ve got Won’t know much about All that may come about All the things we could learn (there are things we could learn) Won’t know much until All of those pages have turned I missed you Every sweet thing that you do I missed you If you only knew I shouldn’t look a gift horse In its slack jaw I should be thanking each star Measuring smiles By the eyes lost above them Now what they say who they are All I know about All that I know about Is it all comes around (what goes around comes around) All that I’ve lost has Led me to every good thing That I’ve found I missed you Every sweet thing that you do I missed you Baby if you only knew I missed you I missed you I missed you If you only knew…

Carry On 03:12
Ten years of living Ten years of hurt Ten years of Godlessness Within my church I searched for beauty Where I found pain Rejected kindness Made a friend of shame I’m gonna take some time Find a line, try to remind Within this song I’m gonna laugh a while Then carry on I’ve learned of patience I’ve learned respect I’ve learned that lust Can’t warrant love just yet I’ve learned of rules Which one’s to bend Those which I should break And which I should mend I’m gonna take some time Find a line, try to remind Within this song I’m gonna laugh a while Then carry on

about

Initially formed in May 2008, For Strangers & Wardens original 7-piece line-up whittled down to guitarist/singer Tim Mudd & mandolinist/singer Cody Williams by the Fall. Fleshing out their sound throughout the Winter with the help of friends in and around the San Diego acoustic music community, they entered the studio with producer Will Edwards and the line-ups original drummer Clayton B. Payne in the Spring to record this debut, christened due to Mercury sitting firmly in retrograde during the entirety of the sessions.
